Measuring Your Waist:

  1. Locate Your Natural Waist: Your natural waist is the narrowest part of your torso, usually located above your belly button and below your rib cage. Stand up straight and find the indentation where your waist naturally curves in.

  2. Use a Flexible Tape Measure: Wrap a flexible tape measure around your waist, making sure it sits parallel to the ground. Keep the tape measure snug but not too tight, and ensure it's level all the way around.

  3. Take the Measurement: Record the measurement where the beginning of the tape meets the rest of the tape measure. Make sure you're not holding your breath or sucking in your stomach, as this can result in an inaccurate measurement.

Measuring Your Hips:

  1. Locate the Widest Part of Your Hips: Your hip measurement should be taken at the widest part of your hips and buttocks. This is typically a few inches below your hip bones.

  2. Stand Straight: Stand with your feet together and keep your body weight evenly distributed.

  3. Wrap the Tape Measure Around Your Hips: Similar to measuring your waist, wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your hips. Ensure the tape measure is level all the way around and not twisted.

  4. Take the Measurement: Record the measurement where the beginning of the tape meets the rest of the tape measure. Again, make sure the tape measure is snug but not too tight.

  5. Double-Check Your Measurements: For accuracy, it's a good idea to take multiple measurements and compare the results. If possible, have someone else assist you to ensure the tape measure is positioned correctly.
